Dividendi is a financial literacy project based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, dedicated to democratizing access to investment knowledge and opportunities for socio-economically disadvantaged communities. Recognizing the critical need to impart financial knowledge to underserved populations—including students, unemployed individuals, and early-career youth—the project aims to improve access to information about investments, specifically mutual funds, through simple instruction, easy-to-understand guidance, and practical advice. Our goal is to connect a large network of people, helping them make smart investments and manage their finances in a responsible and informed manner.
We accomplish this through multiple interconnected initiatives: we have developed accessible educational resources, including beginner-friendly guides on investing and stock markets; we facilitate engaging workshops on financial planning and investment fundamentals; and we run a seed-funded investment program that provides participants with starting capital and mentorship to begin their investment journeys. To sustain and scale our work, we have also engaged in fundraising efforts, the proceeds of which were employed in setting up managed investment programs that provide local NGOs with sustainable financial returns and additional advantages for their communities. Through a combination of education, capital access, and scalable partnerships, Dividendi seeks to build a future where financial empowerment is accessible to all.
